In essence, perfume layering involves applying two or more different scents at the same time to create a unique and variable aroma. By adjusting the quantity and types of scents applied, perfume layering allows you to smell different everyday depending on your mood or the occasion.

While perfume layering has been around for some time, largely as an inter-brand practice using perfumes from different brands, Coalescent offers intra-brand perfume layering. To gently ease the uninitiated onto their very own perfume layering journey, we have divided these 16 scents into 8 recommended pairings that can be used as a layering guide.

Using our recommended pairing of BW as an example, if you wish to smell more Blossom with a Woody undertone, you may apply 2 sprays of B followed by 1 spray of W, or 3 sprays of B followed by 2 sprays of W, or 4 sprays of B followed by 3 sprays of W, and so on, adjusting the ratio of B:W to your heart’s desire.
